The Disability Services Commissioner (DSC) is currently recruiting for two new positions to support the enhanced oversight role of the office following the Government’s response to the Parliamentary Inquiry into Abuse in Disability Services.
Senior Project Officer
The Senior Project Officer will manage a short term project to develop policies and guidelines required for the introduction of initiatives associated with the implementation of the recommendations of the Victorian Parliament, Family and Community Development Committee Inquiry into abuse in disability services. The successful applicant will need to be highly motivated, results driven, a team player and able to work effectively with stakeholders.
Senior Capacity Development Officer
The Senior Capacity Development Officer will contribute to the strategic objectives of the office through establishing respectful and constructive relationships with all of DSC’s stakeholders, leading the development and delivery of a broad range of information and resources with a particular emphasis on the prevention, identification and reporting of abuse, contributing to the strategic directions of the DSC and analysing and providing advice on themes and issues arising from the disability sector that are relevant to the work of the office.
