National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline

24th November 2023

In Chapter 11 of the Final Report for the Disability Royal Commission it talks about people not knowing about the National Abuse and Neglect Hotline.   We tell people about this hotline and also take referrals from them.

The National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline (the hotline) is a free, independent and confidential service for reporting abuse and neglect of people with disability.

The number is 1800 880 052 and the email address is hotline@workfocus.com

Anyone can contact the hotline. On their website it says the Hotline works with callers to find appropriate ways of dealing with reports of abuse and neglect of people with disability.

The Hotline is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) and Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDST), excluding Australian national public holidays.

Resources that can be shared to promote the hotline are the Hotline Poster and Fact Sheet
