This informative online resource is for people involved in the hospital journey of adults with intellectual disabilities.

On the home page you are invited to Choose Your Path. Each path focuses on your role in the hospital journey of the person with intellectual disabilities. You can click on the picture icon which is above the pathway choices to view a short YouTube video with scenarios relating to each role.

The choices are:

  • Hospital Staff
  • Disability Support Staff
  • Family
  • Intellectual Disabilities

Another useful resource included is a Hospital Passport. This is a template which can be filled out in readiness for a visit or a stay in hospital. It provides the hospital staff with important information about the patient, including preferred method of communication and a summary of current condition and past medical history.
